Vesper · Delta-Neutral Guide

Perpl × Lighter.
Delta-neutral setup.

Vesper quotes BTC or SOL on Perpl and is designed to offset filled positions on Lighter. The target is a long on one venue and a similar-sized short on the other. A hedge reduces directional exposure; it does not make the position risk-free.

Documentation reviewed September 26, 2026; screenshots show July examples, not current accounts. Confirm current permissions and availability. This is not a new live-engine audit. Account and legal pages keep their original language.

Historical July 2026 panel showing paired Perpl and Lighter legs and a hold timer

A historical July 2026 example. The panel illustrates a Perpl long and Lighter short, not current balances or guaranteed neutrality. Partial fills, latency and failed hedge orders can leave residual exposure; compare both venue records.

Before you start

Three things you need

1

An eligible Perpl account. Check current access, regional and referral requirements on the Connect page before funding. Confirm whether invite code jGh4C1kNRTW applies; the link alone is not proof of eligibility. Review restricted trading credentials at app.perpl.xyz/apikeys.

2

An eligible Lighter account: lighter.xyz. Before funding, confirm account compatibility, network and collateral requirements. Before starting, check minimum order sizes and available margin independently on both venues; the smaller leg can constrain size.

3

Your wallet. Your signature authorizes the session; the bot then trades under that authorization. Review the permissions and use trade-only keys without withdrawal access.

For Perpl credentials and account checks, read the Perpl guide. Separate modes have their own access requirements; ask support about an unexpected eligibility error before moving funds.

1Connect

Add your Perpl trade key

Open sypherscore.com/vesper/connect, pick the Perpl venue and connect the intended wallet. Check eligibility, then enter the separate trading API credentials in their designated fields. Never enter a wallet private key or seed phrase. Check the account and timestamp of any displayed balance; saved credentials do not prove a session is running.

2Hedge key

Review and enable the Lighter hedge

On the same page, review Enable delta-neutral hedge for the intended Lighter account. Inspect the actual key permissions and authorization request before signing; do not assume all key types have identical rights. Do not revoke or replace a key used by an active session before its orders and positions are resolved.

✓Delta-neutral hedge enabled A connection message is not evidence that a hedge has filled. Check both accounts and their live orders.
3Strategy

Pick Delta-neutral on the Perpl venue

In Settings, choose venue Perpl, then the Delta-neutral card, tagged Hedged · Lighter. Check the exact supported contract on both venues, not only its ticker. Compare contract size, spread, depth and funding; BTC and SOL can have different execution costs.

4Sizing

Hold range, margin and leverage

Hold time: the cycle uses the Min–Max range available in your settings. Margin: load both balances and check the smaller leg before choosing size. Leverage increases notional exposure, fees and liquidation risk on each venue. An offsetting position elsewhere does not supply margin to a leg that is close to liquidation.

5Go live

Start Vesper

Back on the dashboard, hit Start Vesper only after both connections and risk settings are verified, then inspect the signature request. If setup is incomplete or a leg is rejected, follow the shown reason; do not assume both legs open atomically. Check actual fills and remaining exposure on each venue.

The historical display combines both legs. A combined equity number is not shared margin or guaranteed loss protection. Check each account separately; a profitable hedge elsewhere cannot prevent one venue from liquidating its own under-margined leg.

What you're looking at

  • Engine panel

Read both leg sizes, residual delta and the hold timer with their timestamps. A near-zero display can be stale or hide different contract units; verify each venue.

  • Activity

Hedges may be labeled “· LIGHTER”. Compare the feed with both venue records; delayed or missing entries are not evidence that nothing traded.

  • CPM

Cost per million of measured turnover. Check which legs, fees, realised P&L and funding the report includes before comparing runs. See the CPM calculation guide.

  • My Results

Review completed runs in History/My Results and check the period and accounting scope of any export or share card. Do not publish credentials or account identifiers.

Keep it safe
  • Don't deposit or withdraw on either venue while a session runs. Transfers can change the equity baseline and distort loss controls or accounting. Do not rely on an automatic flatten; resolve the session and verify both venues before changing balances.

  • After Stop, verify both venues. Wait for the terminal status, independently verify flat positions and no remaining session orders on both venues, then check History. A submitted Stop request is not proof of filled exits. If the result is unknown, do not start a new run; see session risk controls.

  • After maintenance or a connection problem, confirm session status, counters, open positions and orders before taking further action. Do not assume automatic recovery.

  • Hedging does not eliminate execution, funding, basis, venue or liquidation risk. Review Vesper fees and trading costs before you sign.

  • Lighter fees depend on account type. The official schedule currently lists zero trading fees for Standard accounts; Premium and Plus have different terms. Check your tier in the Lighter fee schedule.
