What is AURUM?
AURUM is Vesper’s flagship market-making mode for Ondo perpetual markets. It is a trading mode inside Vesper, not a separate exchange, token or investment fund. Its documented market scope covers gold (XAU) and the S&P 500 (US500); check the current Ondo selector for your account before starting.
Market making works through limit orders in an order book. A fill creates inventory that must be managed. Turnover is trading activity, not income, and a reference to gold or an index does not mean you own physical gold or the underlying securities.
Execution built around the market
AURUM’s execution is designed around changes in the order book, orders and positions. The aim is to respond to relevant market events rather than treat every moment as the same quoting opportunity. Entry quoting and management of an already-filled position are different tasks.
The mode’s name does not promise continuous fills, machine learning that retrains on your account, or a fixed response time. Venue latency, liquidity, price movement and interruptions still affect execution. A cosmic interface makes the session easier to follow; it does not eliminate market risk.
Before your first Start
Open Vesper and connect the account you intend to use with Ondo. Review the exact trading permissions, expiry and revocation controls presented by that integration. Do not grant withdrawal access. Connecting an account is not permission to assume that trading has started.
Choose Ondo, then AURUM in the current mode selector. Verify the market identifier, available balance, saved order size and every risk setting shown to you. Use the current application as the source of truth; do not copy Argent presets, EXITE gates or values from somebody else’s screenshot.
Save settings if the interface requires it, review them again, then approve the actual Start request. Save and Start are separate actions. Confirm the session has entered its expected state, and continue monitoring the position and orders on the venue.
Read the session, not just the headline number
Read filled volume, fills, inventory and the session state together. Open orders are not filled volume, and a running session is not evidence of profit. Check what each displayed metric includes before comparing it with another mode or another account.
CPM describes a cost relative to traded volume under a stated accounting convention. It is not an annual yield or a forecast. Compare identical periods, funding treatment, execution coverage and open-position treatment. A partial-cycle estimate and reconciled net account results are not interchangeable.
Fast markets still require attention
The US session open, changes in liquidity and sharp moves can change quoting conditions on gold and index perpetuals. AURUM is designed to manage execution in changing conditions, not to turn a volatile session into a quiet weekend.
Waiting alone is not proof of a fault; inspect the actual session state. If data is stale, an error persists or a position appears inconsistent with its orders, do not compensate by increasing size or starting another session. Review the venue and use the session’s documented controls. Funding, slippage, inventory and liquidation risks remain.
How to stop or switch
Use the current session’s Stop control and approve its signed request where required. Wait for cleanup, then verify that the relevant position is flat and the bot has no open orders on the venue. Acknowledgement of Stop is not the same as confirmed completion.
Closing a tab, changing the selected mode or revoking a credential does not independently prove cleanup. Do not start a replacement session while the old one is still stopping. If cleanup fails, keep the venue state visible and contact support without sharing addresses, private keys or API secrets.
AURUM, Argent and EXITE are not the same mode
AURUM is the new flagship Ondo mode. Argent remains a separately documented Ondo workflow; its existing guide is retained for users of that mode. AURUM’s introduction is not an instruction to migrate a running Argent session.
EXITE belongs to Entropy, while Cypher belongs to Arcus. Their markets and entry rules must not be applied to AURUM. Choose by venue, supported market and current mode controls, not a cross-venue performance ranking. The same Vesper brand does not imply identical strategies.
AURUM / FAQ
Your questions, answered
Is AURUM an Ondo token?
No. AURUM is a Vesper trading mode for Ondo perpetual markets, not a token or a separate exchange.
Which markets does this guide cover?
Gold (XAU) and the S&P 500 (US500). The current account selector determines what you can actually choose; a listed market does not guarantee access or a fill.
Does “most advanced” promise a return?
No. It describes our product positioning within Vesper’s Ondo modes, not a validated promise of return, lower CPM or lower risk.
Can I use the EXITE setup?
No. EXITE is for Entropy. Use Ondo and AURUM’s current settings, permissions and session controls.
Must I keep the browser open?
The trading engine runs server-side. Closing the browser is not Stop and does not remove the need to monitor a live session.
Has Stop finished when the button responds?
Not necessarily. Verify the venue position is flat and no bot orders remain before considering the session finished.
